The duration of PPP loans has been changed to twenty-four (24) weeks from eight (8) weeks, giving small businesses more time to use the money and still have the potential for loan forgiveness. In addition, now under the PPP loans, borrowers are able to spend just 60%, rather than 75%, of their loan proceeds on paying workers and give borrowers until Dec. 31, 2020, to rehire workers and still be eligible for loan forgiveness.
